Engagement Tablescape: Hydrangeas, Eucalyptus, Sage, and Moss

Last night we threw an engagement party at our place for our friend's Megan & Donny. Dan took care of the food and I took care of the table. I've had 3 leftover pots from the last show that we did that I have been waiting to put some hydrangeas in. This is the way the night turned out.

Starting on the table, I did not know which direction I wanted to go with. What I did know was that I have a closet in our office that has a bunch of supplies for last minute crafting. Time to pull out the inner Martha in me...

For anyone looking for instant levels, I suggest books. If the books are vintage, highly beaten up, or just doesn't match the theme you're thinking of, then wrap them in some gift wrapping paper! I also suggest stocking upon  themeless wrapping paper anytime you see them on sale. They come in handy for situations like this.

When buying flowers, we try to make sure to add LOTS of texture. Because it's more fun, duh!

Plants have feelings too: Try and utilize as many parts of the flowers and plants in your decor.

Party Time!

Cause you know we never give up.

Man,
It gets harder doesn't it? The older we get, we start to focus more and more on things that don't really matter, and tend to forget the things that keep up happy, like ambitions and dreams. Daniel and I have been so busy in our lives, building a home and hustling on our own jobs, that we sort of left PH on the back burner. But that is about to change. It feels like the universe is opening its arms again and saying, "Listen up kids, it's NOW or NEVER". So here it is... Starting over, yet again.
